The life of a modern left-handed democrat.
And why don't I know?
Published on February 27, 2005 By NJforever In Blogging
One night in November 2004, I joined this site. While filling out the sheet, I came to the question of what to name myself. And for some odd, inexplicable, strange reason, I named myself NJforever.

And now, nearly 4 months later, I still don't know why I did it. I have never named myself this before, and the name had never come into my mind before. In fact, the only thing that the name has anything to do with any part of my thinking/life is that I live in New Jersey.

For the most part, my online name is "Diggs." It's my nickname in real life, actually. Rooted in my last name, I've liked it since I heard it, and, coincidentally, it's what my dad was once called, and the person who first called me that has no connection to him. I've also been known to go under "MrLouisiana" (which makes even less sense than NJforever, but at least I've used it before).

So, I call upon you, members of Joeuser, to explain why I picked the name NJforever. And also, a poll on which you liked better: NJforever, MrLouisiana, or Diggs. And finally, if something besides NJforever wins, if and how I can change my name.

NJforever sounds fine. Besides, people are already familiar with your name, changing it can be a hassle. After changing, you probably have to have something in your post like "formerly NJforever". Might as well stick with it unless you really dislike this name.

It is so weird, I was just wondering why you picked the name (for no apparent reason) about 10 seconds before I saw this article's headline. The question is: did I subliminally read the readline and then wonder about your name or did I wonder about your name and the universe decide to answer my question for me? Obviously the latter is the most likely answer as the universe revolves around me.

Incidently stick with the name, I agree with what Ravenblack says.

I thought it was because you are trapped in New Jersey...Forever!

I read it as "ninjaforever," which makes you unconscionably nerdy but also a little bit cool.

Hmm. I don't know. I don't view NJ as such a wonderful place that I'd want to be there forever, or even forever associated with it. But, do what you want.

I could become "The Blogger Formerly Known as NJforever"
I don't really dislike it, I just always thought of it as weird.

That WOULD explain why the Universe kept telling me to write this article.

Yes, I've heard your opinion of New Jersey before. But it shall always be branded upon you: BORN IN NEW JERSEY. Me too, but I don't mind so much.
