You've Found Your New Home!
DISCLAIMER: You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy this, but it helps
Alright, you read the title, so you know this involves Star Wars. Which makes a couple of you instantly disinterested. But just listen a sec, okay? What I've got for you could possibly appeal to writers as well. You see, I created a couple of websites. Their purpose? Role-playing in the Star Wars universe.
I know what you're all thinking: "What a loser this NJforever must be to actually make sites for Star Wars role-playing." Well, you'd be right. I have a lot of free time. But don't go writing them off! Some of the scenarios are actually pretty well-crafted. There's even talk of making a Flash series based on some of the best. Well, technically, it's only for the scenarios of one site, but the other is 3 days old and only has two incomplete scenarios. Of course, you do get the people who write one sentence posts about chopping off people's limbs, but for every one of those you get another who likes to write interesting scenarios with good stories.
I suppose I should get explaining them. First of all, I'd like to say that they have been linked on my blog for the past few days, but since none of you really go there, I'm writing this article. The first site is called Galactic Balance. It takes place far in the future from Episode VI. The Empire has resurfaced, and now the New Republic and Renewed Empire are locked in combat for the Galaxy. There I will be your semi-helpful administrator and dark lord, Darth Xavor. By the way, this one recently went through the Version 4 upgrade, so it will look different from the other one a tad. Link
The second one is called Galactic Chaos. It takes place at the same time as Galactic Balance but in an alternate reality. The Renewed Empire never existed, but the New Republic did. However, the New Republic has recently collapsed, leaving the galaxy in total anarchy. The Republic Remains and Imperial Remnant now are both trying to restore order to the Galaxy, while a pirate group known as the Marauders raids and pillages it. We're also loosely affiliated with Planetary Attacks, which I did not create but am an admin at, but that's beside the point.
So, if creating a character in the Star Wars universe and making scenarios for him/her, or putting him/her in other people's scenarios appeals to you, come join us! I promise you it is a lot of fun. And by the way, yes, I must be the bad guy in all of my sites. They're just cooler. But don't worry! I always make sure that at least one member of the other side is an admin, so it all balances out. Anyway, if this interests you, by all means join. But it you're calling me a Star Wars obsessed loser with WAY too much free time on his hands right now, all I can say is that I'm not obsessed, but the rest is pretty much true. Oh, and don't join.
